Abstract:
Over the past 25 years, the study of happiness and ego have led to surprising and useful tools we can use to lead a more fulfilling and ethical life. Victor Frankl so eloquently voiced how purpose and meaning influence the direction of our thoughts and actions; coupling purpose, gratitude, and happiness leads to more ethical behavior. Finally, understanding how human bias so quickly puts us onto the ethical slippery slope is crucial to our use of the science of happiness. Our discussion will expound on moral philosophy and ethical decision-making in the context of the practice of law, accounting, and financial services. Participants will  leave with techniques they can use to travel happier, define meaning in their lives, and behave more ethically.
