Abstract
:

What is Forensic Accounting and how does it differ from Fraud Examinations?  We will explain.  What does a Forensic Accountant do and when might you need these services?  Who engages Forensic Accountants?  In this course, we will provide overviews of forensic accounting services and fraud examinations as well as case studies of each.  We will identify typical engagement types in the areas of civil litigation and criminal investigation.  We will answer the Who, Why, When, and How questions of fraud as well as provide tips for organizations to prevent fraud.


 Speaker: Brandon Noel Harris

Brandon Noel Harris is an enthusiastic financial professional with over 30 years of experience.  She has her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from East Carolina University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She is a Board member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Piedmont Chapter, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Forensic and Valuation Section, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.


Brandon is the current owner of Brandon Noel Harris, CPA, CFE, P.C., in which she provides:

forensic accounting support related to family law and business dispute cases fraud examinations in cases of embezzlements and asset misappropriations  fraud risk assessments to businesses litigation support in business disputes, such as economic damages

fractional CFO services to privately held businesses (via NextGen CFO), specializing in the Real Estate and Construction industries.

Brandon also owns Fraudl Broad, LLC in which she provides fraud prevention and internal

control consulting as well as presentations to organizations and businesses.
