Title- Women & Wealth: Planning Strategies for Today’s Female Clients

Abstract-

Women are projected to control a significant majority of U.S. wealth over the coming decades due to longevity trends, inheritance, entrepreneurship, divorce, and demographic shifts. Despite this growing economic influence, research continues to show that many female clients feel underserved, misunderstood, or excluded in financial, legal, and insurance planning conversations.

This multidisciplinary panel brings together an estate planning attorney, a financial advisor, and an insurance professional to examine the unique financial, legal, and risk management challenges women face across life stages. The session will explore issues such as longevity risk, caregiving responsibilities, income disparities, divorce and widowhood planning, business ownership, beneficiary structuring, and long-term care strategies.

Panelists will discuss best practices for client communication, ethical considerations, fiduciary responsibility, and collaborative planning techniques that better serve female clients while strengthening overall client outcomes. Practical case examples will illustrate how advisors can build more inclusive, effective planning strategies and how spouses and partners can better support shared financial decision-making.

Participants will leave with actionable strategies to enhance their advisory approach and improve planning outcomes for women and families.
